Our Very Special 2009 Christmas Tree

To support Earth Day, we have done small individual christmas trees from recycled cardboards and toilet roll tubes for each children to colour and decorate. Then from these small trees, we have assembled it into a big christmas tree. Its not that easy to assemble it. It took us some 2 to 3 hours to get it to stand. We tried so many ways and at last we managed to think of using sticks, tapes and ribbons.

The candy poppers are made from toilet roll tubes wrapped in recycle pamphets. We have spend alot of time and energy in making everything. I really hope parents and children will not just throw it away when they take it home. For me, when my son takes any crafts back, I will keep it in a box. I have done a Memory Box for each of my students to keep all the art & craft they have done for the year.
